While we are not in-network with any insurance providers, we understand that our clients may still wish to use their out-of-network benefits for reimbursement. Many clients have out-of-network benefits, but may not understand how to use them.

We’ve partnered with Nirvana Health, a company that advocates on behalf of therapy seekers, to provide transparency into your out-of-network benefits so that you have a better idea of what you might be reimbursed and when to expect it.

Use our Out-of-Network Reimbursement Calculator to estimate how much you can expect to pay for out-of-network therapy. If you don’t have a specific therapist in mind, enter the name of any therapist from our practice.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. With voluntary mental health services, the cost of services estimated are decided between you and your clinician and based on your mental health status at the time of the Good Faith Estimate.

According to Federal Law entitled the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This is so that you know the costs for services upfront and are not “surprised” by additional billing.

At In Focus Counseling, we are a fee for service provider. If you request services, you already know our fees upfront as described in your disclosure statement for treatment. By signing the disclosure statement you are agreeing to the hourly rates for your assigned clinician, documentation fees, care coordination calls/meetings, and cancellation/no-show fees for missed appointments. These are all agreed to before you begin services.

You can request that your health care provider create a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. Due to the voluntary and changing of mental health status, your requested services or additional recommendations

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
