Through her own personal therapeutic experiences and community organizing, she realized her true passion of becoming a therapist to aid Immigrant and Refugee communities. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment to allow clients to be their true selves. This provides safety for clients to share vulnerable parts of who they are, and builds a trusting space for clients to be safely challenged.
Nicole works with families, couples, adults, teens and children. She uses a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating all parts of the client that are important physically, mentally, emotionally, religiously or spiritually. Nicole uses a multicultural lens to collaborate with her clients by recognizing, valuing and inviting all aspects of her client’s identities, cultural values, beliefs, and traditions. She individualizes each therapeutic process in a way that most benefits the client by utilizing her skills from a variety of theoretical modalities and orientations.
Nicole uses Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) when working with children to help identify, understand and regulate their emotions. She recently finished an Externship training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to help support her work with couples to re-discover their relationship cycle. She is currently training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) treatment, along with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for OCD and Anxiety issues. Are you ready to start a new healing journey? Contact Nicole to schedule an in-person or online session.
