Madison McGonnigal recently joined In Focus Counseling in the Fall of 2024. Madison is currently a Master’s Level Social Work Candidate, working to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She works with individuals, families, couples, and young children using behavioral approaches that are tailored to each client to ensure the best possible outcome.
Madison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science, with a concentration in Cognitive Psychology from University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2020. She is currently completing a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. Madison has previously worked with clients with substance use disorders, both independently and in conjunction with other mental health diagnoses. Madison also has experience in treating clients in either an individual or group setting, and believes both offer unique benefits and perspectives in treatment work.
Madison is passionate about creating a holistic viewpoint when working with clients, to ensure all relevant internal and external systems are recognized in a client’s progress. She recognizes that starting the therapeutic journey can be daunting, and is determined to provide a safe and welcoming space for clients to explore struggles with guidance.
